Innovating Healthcare: Highlights from Chautauqua 2024

From April 19 to 21, Saint John’s Health Center Foundation held its annual retreat at the stunning Ojai Valley Inn. Trustees, donors, physician partners, and special guests came together for a weekend of education, camaraderie, discovery, and relaxation.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication from the Chautauqua Weekend Planning Committee, led by co-chairs Dr. Jennifer A. Linehan and Cary Singleton, the 2024 retreat was an immense success! We explored exciting medical innovations, from robotic surgery to AI-driven brain health, cochlear implants, and “Digital Twins” for cancer treatment. Attendees also experienced our “Innovation Playground,” where they got hands-on with new technologies.
Foundation President & CEO, Sheryl A. Bourgeois Ph.D., and Providence Saint John’s Health Center Chief Executive, Michael Ricks, shared key reports, while keynote speakers Dr. Gretchen Purcell Jackson and B.J. Moore provided inspiring insights. It was a fantastic weekend celebrating how Saint John’s is “Innovating Healthcare.” Thanks to everyone who made it a success!
